Process

We started working with the Dovetail Project as a designer for visual assets and after working closely with the founder and team, we quickly understood the passion and drive they bring to this work. Based on a deep understanding of the fathers, my own fatherhood story, and the futures that would be attainable with these resources we created visuals that attracted and resonated with our target demographic but more importantly supported their efforts in trying to speak to their audience in the most authentic way.

Innovation

When the world stopped, we kept going. At the peak of the pandemic, The Dovetail Project had to close its programming down. Recognizing that this was a great time of need, we helped brainstorm and collaborated on new initiatives to communicate with our demographic; we branded the Fatherhood Relief Fund, reaching 10,000 families with funding and household resources, expanded educational and outreach programs beyond any building with our compelling outreach videos, and targeted assistance using our relief text line. Happy to help them enter a new collaborative phase, we helped them imagine unique community corporate partnerships––like UGG, Nike, Chicago Bears, and Goldman Sachs––that had an unimaginable impact.

Impact

The Dovetail Project’s mission has always been reimagining fatherhood. We helped reimagine how they achieved that. From 2018 to now, we’ve drastically grown their online community and helped display their impact to the world, altering the conversation around fatherhood. This work, highlighted by Ellen, The Today Show, the New York Stock Exchange, People Magazine, and more not only promoted a buzz for the organization, but also created a roadmap for nonprofit post-pandemic recovery.
